INΨT'S COVID-19 RESPONSE
At the close of 2019, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (COVID-19), took hold of the wellbeing of individuals from every known country and territory on Earth. Each society has had to face challenges that have repeatedly been characterized as both “unprecedented” and “tragic”.
While honoring ‘stay at home, stay safe’ regulations, the various adversities that have since risen, have also presented a unique opportunity for all of us to demonstrate resilience. In spite of often being physically confined within our 'boxes' (homes, rooms, offices, etc.), at inψt, thinking outside of them, is the objective. One such opportunity has been adapting in-person sessions to teletherapy sessions.

As restrictions have lifted, and in-office meetings made possible, inψt prioritizes everyone's safety and comfort while on the premises. Thus, proof of a negative viral screening result (RAPID or PCR) and a touchless temperature check is required of all, prior to entering the building for an appointment. As an additional precaution, patients are kindly asked to arrive no more than 5 minutes before their scheduled session, so as to eliminate indoor wait-time. Early comers are of course welcome to wait in their vehicles.
Furthermore, a policy of thorough surface sanitation, before and after each appointment, frequent hand cleansing, air-purification, as well as personal protective equipment (PPE) use, such as respiratory system coverings (mouth and nose), is in place. Finally, please rest assured that all necessary adjustments are and will be made in accordance with the most recent health authority guidelines.

TELETHERAPY
​
In this context, teletherapy refers to counseling services administered by a licensed psychologist via technological means. As the world changes to respond to the effects of the current pandemic, in-person sessions are now available in an exclusively remote format. Always striving to uphold inψt's standards of wholesome care provision in a safe and convenient manner, teletherapy options, such as phone or video calls, are advantageous. In fact, minimizing exposure during this health crisis is only one of these advantages.

Whenever time is limited, movement restricted, distance is great, or energy lacking, help is at your fingertips. The convenience of speaking with me on your computer, smartwatch, phone or tablet, ensures that you and your family members are supported, regardless of the circumstances and exactly when it matters the most. Undeniably, physical presence is an invaluable tool in therapy. Yet, exploration of self is not confined to a couch, goal-setting need not be handwritten, and development of new skills is not defined by the room they are learned in!
FAITH-BASED THERAPY

Mind, body and soul: this triptych describes the three avenues we have at our deposal when interacting with all the elements in our environment. In recent years the discipline of psychology has largely shifted its emphasis away from pursuits of what might be unknown, in favor only of what is measurable and consider known. Yet, so much of what makes us, us, is not always made manifest in the observable world. Our belief system is as integral to our functioning as are our behaviors, thoughts, and emotions.

Much like a camera that allows a photographer to take a detailed shot of a single leaf, but simultaneously loses clarity when s/he attempts to capture the entire tree, a wholistic approach to self discovery and improvement, is lacking if our values and beliefs system are excluded from the process.

LIFE EVENT PLANNING & COACHING

Our existence is a series of events. Life events take on negative or positive forms. When unwanted patterns have developed we will work together in your own environments, to systematically replace them through hands-on coaching. On the other hand, when wanted milestones are reached, be they grand or minimal, we will again collaborate.
The process of preparing for and celebrating life's episodes gifts us with a sense of achievement, closure and deep gratitude. These are all things we need, so as to have a joyful outlook. Bearing this in mind, it has been my absolute pleasure to help individuals prepare for life transitions both psychologically and practically.
Making use of hand-crafting and design talents, as well as budgeting, list-making and adaptability, I have planned weddings, vow renewals, bridal showers, gender reveals, college acceptance parties, graduations, retirement parties, birthday parties, conferences, vacation Bible schools, summer camps, holiday pageants, and more.

COGNITIVE-EDUCATIONAL THERAPY & TUTORING IN ENGLISH
Cognitive Educational Therapy (CET) aims to harness our brain's neuroplasticity (neural cells regeneration) and strengthen the pathways which are responsible for executive functioning , attention, memory and ultimately successful learning! The areas that are to be assessed and improved upon are prolonged focus periods and auditory/visual processing accuracy.
The comprehension, organization, and manipulation of information received to produce creative conclusions is the ultimate goal of such therapy. Additionally, making the student aware of their mental processes empowers him or her to attain a level of functioning in academic, social and work situations, in an optimal way. This individually tailored approach will address learning difference, English language learning needs, homework assistance and the building of fun learning experiences, simple routines, discipline, independence and self-esteem!


CHILD & ADOLESCENT THERAPY

Children are a wonderous portion of the population who are recipients of wisdom and know-how, yet providers of invocation and brand new perspectives. As young people in training for adulthood, psychotherapeutic techniques for these age groups involve combinations of play, reenactment, art, reading, narration, and interactive life-coaching.
Conversations are held on an individual basis, but are accompanied by the participation of family members and educators, as needed. The behavioral, academic, and social-emotional issues that young people experience are unique and more often than not, require the examination of and support for and from the entire family system.
Positive psychoeducation helps children and families draw on strengths to understand and resolve problems. Even so, psychotherapy is by no means a "quick fix" at any stage of life, and especially at its impressionable beginnings. It really does take a village to raise a well-rounded child. As part of that village dynamic, the complex and rich therapeutic process can, over time, reduce adverse symptomatology, provide insight, and improve a child or adolescent's quality of life.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Individual or personal therapy is the most elemental form of counseling, where the discussion has only two participants; you and myself. Providing the highest level of my undecided attention, your interests, concerns, and growth are the sole focus during each session.
There is a range of reasons for which you may be interested in individual therapy. Commonly, facing major life events, be they cause for sadness or gladness joy, can reveal overwhelming emotional or behavioral reactions. Some may be too well known while others, never before experienced. As a result, the numerous new tasks or old memories that have arisen, may inundate your mind and leave you feeling lost at sea without a compass.

While actively listening to you, I will periodically make observations or ask questions, both of which serve to restore your sense of direction and purpose. The ultimate goal is to help you learn how to navigate your thoughts and harness your many abilities to attain the fulfillment you seek in the various realms of your life.


COUPLES THERAPY
Open, respectful, and honest communication is the fertile ground in which flourishing relationships, particularly romantic ones, take root and weather storms. Such couples do not guess or attempt to read each other's minds, but rather remain present, allot time to listen to their partner and respond based on the deeper understanding gained in that dynamic exchange. As straightforward as all this might sound, weeds such as criticism, contempt, or apathy can stifle every good intention to grow strong together.
Yet, where there is a will there is certainly a way. With several years of research experience in the field of couple's therapy, and as one with a more objective vantage point, I can help you both see those things which drain your shared resources. Once found, we will not only work on removing them. Inevitably voids left behind tend to become reoccupied by the same or similar deleterious habits. Such removal must be followed by replacement with emotions and practices that will transform your special bond, for the better.
FAMILY THERAPY
​
A family is the most elemental system within any given society. It is comprised of relatives (by blood or choice) who have individual and collective hopes, dreams, and aspirations. At times these wishes clash and discord can ensue. Family therapy aims to facilitate equitable discussions that allow members to identify specific challenges, pinpoint types and effectiveness of current coping mechanisms, and replace unhealthy patters of interaction with healthy ones.
Examples of issues that are often addressed during such sessions are financial strains, education and career choices, conflicts between in-laws, married couples, or parents and children, substance abuse and its effects on the entire family, etc. Positive family psychotherapy can help alleviate the repercussions of an illness, loss or divorce by focusing on what there is to still be grateful for. A fuller understanding and effective communication bring unity, joy, and cooperation.​

In the event that this statement resonates with you, inψt offers necessity oriented fee reductions and, in rare cases, even free services as a commitment to making mental health and personal growth accessible to all in need.

Once a request is made, and supporting documentation has been submitted and reviewed, a reimbursement adjustment decision will be extended. Over the years I have seen that this flexibility serves as lighthouse, guiding those who might otherwise feel lost at sea, towards hope. The donation of time and expertise, to provide counseling services with low or no charge, is an altruistic endeavor that can bring blessings to both parties.
